INDIE rockers The Sherlocks have parted ways with two founding members.
Brothers Andy and Josh Davidson, who played bass and guitar for the band, have stepped away to ‘focus their time on other things in life’, according to a statement put on social media by the band.
“We’ve literally toured the world and made two top 20 albums together that we are very proud of,” it said.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to them both for their continued hard work and commitment over the years.
“Most importantly we wish them both the very best in the future in everything they do.”
Singer Kiaran Crook and brother Brandon will be joined by two new members for a new album and ‘hopefully a new tour’ next year, the band said.
The Bolton-upon-Dearne band - who have played everywhere from the USA and Japan to last year performing a stripped-down set for students at Barnsley College’s Electric Theatre - celebrated their second album, Under Your Sky, last year.
