Barnsley have made Scottish centre-back Liam Lindsay their third signing of the summer after he signed a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old joined from Scottish Premier League side Partick Thistle for a reported fee of £350,000.

Linsday made the SPL team of the year last season and is highly-rated north of the border. He follows fellow Scot Stevie Mallan who joined the Reds from second tier side St Mirren, as well as Jason McCarthy who moved from Southampton last week.

Linsday joins Angus MacDonald, Adam Jackson and captain Marc Roberts as Barnsley's centre-backs, although Roberts continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
