SUCCESSFUL theatre producer Lee Batty is still catching up on his sleep after pulling an all-night shift as producer of the Olivier Awards on Sunday night - where Dame Judi Dench won a record eighth award.

Lee said he was far too busy to be star-struck or grabbing ‘selfies’ at the glitzy awards show. He didn’t leave London’s Royal Opera House from 8pm on Saturday night until after the show finished on Sunday night.

More than 1,000 people were involved in putting on the televised show, and Lee was the man in charge of pulling all that together.

“Who on earth decided that eh?” said Lee, 41, born and raised in Wombwell.
