A BARNSLEY school insisted it was not being snotty when staff said a man could not buy any more red noses.

Staff at Keresforth Primary nursery put them on ration after Kyle Tretton, 22, bought several for his brothers and sisters while picking up his three-year-old sister Courtney.

Helen Otley, headteacher at Keresforth Primary, said staff only had five noses left when Kyle was told he couldn't buy anymore.

"The nursery staff had promised these to children who had not yet bought one and didn't want them to be disappointed so declined to sell the man anymore. The school is disappointed that their fundraising efforts for this good cause and many others throughout the year has resulted in this situation."
