STAFF on the chemotherapy ward at Barnsley Hospital are celebrating after making the shortlist of the Hospital Hero category for the Proud of Barnsley awards.
The ward was nominated by Pamela Brown, 64, of Low Grange Square, Thurnscoe, for the 'fantastic and amazing care' they gave to her husband, Harry, 68, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in January.
Pamela said the whole family was supported throughout Harry's chemotherapy treatment and staff were 'smiley and uplifting.'
