Stephen Dawson says that 'all of Dublin' will be waiting for the Championship fixtures to be announced next week to find out when Barnsley play against Yeovil, the team Dawson's younger brother Kevin plays for.

Dawson, who has enjoyed the summer with his little girl Alexis, who was born six weeks ago, says the Yeovil games will be the first ones he looks out for when the fixtures are released on Wednesday.

But the hardman has warned his sibling he won't go easy on him when the two teams meet.

The Irishman, who has two other brothers, told the Chronicle: "I'm proud of young Kevin for getting promoted. He has been working hard at his game in Ireland but he got the chance with Yeovil last season and ended up playing 25 games for them.

"I've been to see him a few times. He got the goal against Sheffield United in the semi-final which I'm sure Barnsley fans will have loved and then he played at Wembley when they beat Brentford. I can't wait to play against him. It'll be the first time we've come against each other in a professional setting.

"He's a few years younger than me but he'd play with my mates when we were kids and we'd kick him up and down a bit. He was always a good little player and I'm pleased he's doing well. I've told him I won't go easy on him. When we come up against each other he'll be my opponent and although I want him to do well and I want Yeovil to stay up next season, that won't be at the expense of Barnsley.

"If there's a 50/50 tackle to go for then he'll be running away from me scared because I won't hold back. We've had some good banter about it. We've got about 50 or 60 aunties and uncles who are all ready for the games.

I think all of Dublin is waiting for these fixtures to be announced and a good load of them will be flying down for the games there's no doubt about that."
