Barnsley Woolley CC started their Yorkshire Premier League South season with a win at Shiregreen.
The hosts were 80 for no wicket but were bowled out for 159 with Shinwar Mansouri taking six wickets and Sean Whitehead four.
South African debutant Whitehead then hit 59 not out off 47 balls, sharing a stand of 83 with another debutant Jash Giyanani who added 49 off 37.
They won by seven wickets with more than 22 overs left.
Cawthorne lost by nine wickets at home to Doncaster Town.
Cawthorne - who started on minus two points ‘due to the failure to complete captains' reports at the end of 2024 season - were bowled out for 127.
Harry Allinson smacked 79 with nine fours and five sixes but no other player made more than 15.
