NINE brave thrill-seeking fundraisers for Barnsley Hospital took part in the charity’s first shark dive at the weekend.
The brave supporters took the plunge at the event in a bid to raise funds for the hospital’s charity.
Thousands of pounds have been raised in the process - much to the delight of the charity.
A spokesperson said: “Surrounded by giant sand tiger sharks, rays, and hundreds of tropical fish, each diver demonstrated incredible courage and determination.
“Their efforts have already raised thousands of pounds, with every donation helping to support our cause.
“The event highlighted both the bravery of participants and the generosity of their family, colleagues and friends and our local community.
“We want to thank everyone involved for their commitment, bravery and for helping us make a difference for our patients.”
