ATHERSLEY Rec ended a long winless run and eased relegation worries with a 3-1 win at Shelley.
Rec had taken a point from their previous ten games since December.
Shelley led at half-time then Nathan Perks levelled with a penalty before late goals by James Woodhouse and Aston Dunstan.
That left Athersley 17th, 11 points and three places clear of the bottom three.
They need two points from their last seven games to stay up and are due to visit Glasshoughton on Tuesday.
