Wombwell Town were the only Barnsley team not to lose in NCEL Division One at the weekend as they continued their unbeaten away record with a 1–1 draw at fellow promotion-chasers Ilkley Town.

After a home player was sent off, Jordan Kershaw put Town in front but Ilkley levelled. Town dropped two places to fourth with 49 points from 24 games, leaving them 16 points off first and three clear in the top five play-off places.

Dearne and District lost 1-0 at high-flying Brigg Town, who scored after 88 minutes.

Dearne now have 45 points from 25 games, which leaves them seventh and four points off the play-off places.

They have lost four in a row.

Worsbrough Bridge’s 15-game unbeaten run ended with a 4-1 loss at runaway leaders Horbury Town.

Bridge - who had won 11 and drawn four since September - took the lead through Keelan Grist but conceded twice before the break then another two.

They are ninth with 41 points from 25 games, eight off the play-off places.

They now face another promotion contender in Ilkley Town.

Athersley Rec lost 3-1 against Dronfield Town.

Dronfield scored earlier in the first half then another two just after the break before Bailey Wright got a late consolation.
