BARNSLEY people are being urged to come out and show their support for the hospice by attending the premiere of a music video featuring staff, patients and their families.

Local singer Tom Masters worked with the hospice to record a new version of the classic song ‘Lean On Me’ ahead of Hospice Care Week which is next week.

And on Monday, the Parkway Cinema on Eldon Street will give the film its big screen debut in a special free event open to all which is due to get underway at 5.15pm.

The Chronicle has made the premiere happen and Parkway’s Rob Younger said agreeing to host the premiere was an easy decision.

He said: “I know how precious the hospice has been to the people of Barnsley for the last 30 years and having the premiere here was the least I could do. I hope Barnsley people really come out and show their support.”
