WATH RUFC continued their impressive start in Yorkshire Division One after promotion with a 30-20 win at West Leeds.

Wath have now won all three games this season and are fifth, because four other sides also have a perfect record.

They led 13-3 but were pegged back onto level terms before going 30-13 up.

There were tries scored by Brandon Coult, Rory Anderson, Sean Hopper and Curtis Brownrigg.

Jack Whitlam kicked two conversions and two penalties.

Wath are now due to host winless Beverley on Saturday.

Dearne Valley have also made a good start to the season which they continued with a 78-7 win at home to Stocksbridge in Yorkshire Four.

There were four tries for Jacob Mangham, three for Corey Cox and one each for Callum Young, Jack Duggan, Steve Mason and Sam Oxley.

Stephen Shaw kicked ten conversions and a penalty.

Dearne are top with three wins from three.

They are now due to visit Hessle tomorrow.

Wortley won for the first time in Division Four, 30-12 at home to Maltby. They now host Stockbridge tomorrow.

Barnsley lost 38-0 at Rotherham Phoenix in Yorkshire Division Three.

They have lost two and won one so far and now host Thornesians tomorrow.

Barnsley Ladies lost 77-10 at Buckingham Swans on Sunday in the Championship North.
