Wombwell Town won 2-1 at Dearne and District on Saturday in front of 463 fans in NCEL Division One.
It was Dearne’s first loss at NCEL level in their fourth game. Town have now won all four league games this season.
Joshua Nodder put Town in front then, after Regan Kelly levelled, Jordan Kershaw won it on the stroke of half-time.
Athersley Rec lost 4-0 at Armthorpe, conceding all the goals between 62 and 88 minutes.
In the Premier Division, Penistone won 3-1 at Knaresborough Town.
The hosts took the lead but Lennon O’Grady, Sam Scrivens and Kieran Ryan secured the win for Church.
