Barnsley Woolley Miners lost narrowly at Tickhill.

Owen Smith made 89 and Sheryaar Ali added a run-a-ball 50 in Barnsley’s 235. Adam Copley took four wickets but Tickhill won with three wickets and an over left.

Cawthorne bowled Whitley Hall out for 121 in a seven-wicket win.

Liam Wiles took four wickets then Nicholas Lowe carried his bat with 55 not out.

Third-bottom Barnsley and fifth-bottom Cawthorne are level on points in the Yorkshire Premier South, 19 points clear of the bottom two with six games left.

Last-placed Elsecar are 44 points from safety after losing at home to Doncaster.

Elsecar were dismissed for 145 in an eight-wicket defeat.
