RICHARD Price, of Barnsley AC, qualified for the World Standard Distance Triathlon Championships.
He was competing in the Woodhorn Museum Standard Triathlon at Queen Elizabeth II Country Park, which was the qualifying event.
He automatically qualified by finishing second in his over50 men’s age group.
He completed the 1.5k swim in 22-37, the 46k bike ride in 1-15-10 and 9.6k run in 40-33 for an overall time of 2-20-10.
