Barnsley have signed French centre-back Mael de Gevigney on a three-year contract with a year option in the club’s favour.
The Reds have paid an undisclosed fee for the 23-year-old to Nimes who were relegated to the French third tier last season.
De Gevigney played 34 games after signing last season from his first club Versailles.
