THE number of Barnsley residents dying within 28 days of a positive coronavirus result is decreasing.
Just 14 people have died with Covid in Barnsley so far in December.
It brings the total number of deaths within 28 days of a positive test in the town to 967.
A total of 43 people died in November and 39 died in October.
More than 3,000 people have also had their booster jab every day since the new Metrodome vaccination centre opened last week.
A total of 108,722 people have had three jabs, equating to 49.1 per cent of the public.
More than 77 per cent are double-jabbed and almost 85 per cent have had at least one vaccine.
