PENISTONE'S second Mystery Gin Festival was the toast of the town at the weekend.
The event has been hailed as a major success, selling out on both Friday and Saturday nights.
Ticketholders were spoilt for choice over the two-day event at the community centre, with over 50 of the best gins from around the world and a selection of rums available - each served with complimentary garnishes and premium tonics and mixers.
Magicians wowed guests with close-up magic tricks. Guests explored the Steampunk decor and there was a Victorian-industrial vibe: tables were created from oil drums and the bar was crafted from pallets.
“It was a great event," said Jon Gilbert, one of the organisers.
"We wanted to provide a gin festival with a twist and I think we did just that. Guests were encouraged try to identify their ‘mystery gin’ on arrival and could buy colour-changing drinks at the mystery bar.”
Industry experts from several local distilleries were there and presented gin master classes with tasting sessions.
Guests could also design their own gins to make at home and buy steampunk cufflinks and gin bottle lights - as well as posing for selfies with steampunk props.
