THIS haul of so-called ‘zombie knives’ has been seized in Barnsley.
Inspired by horror films, the curved blades with serrated edges are marketed as the weapon of choice in the event of a ‘zombie apocalypse’.
Police said five of the menancing blades were confiscated from a property in Barnsley. They are thought to have been imported into the country from Holland, before being transported to the borough to be sold online.
Following an investigation, the knives were seized and removed from sale online. A man in his 20s has been cautioned for importing prohibited articles into the country.
