ROYSTON Post Office’s Keith and Lynn Roddam will retire next week - after 15 happy years in the village.
The popular couple, originally from Washington, near Newcastle, have their last day in charge on Tuesday before Donna Jones takes over from Wednesday.
Lynn said: “We’ll miss everyone so much as they’ve given us fantastic support throughout the years.
“Our first grandchild is on the way so we’re looking forward to that but we’ll miss the chit-chat with customers. It’s such a friendly village but it’ll remain in safe hands.”
They will remain in the village.
Donna, who lives nearby on Summer Lane, said: “Keith and Lynn are a smashing couple and I’ve always enjoyed coming in as a customer, so it will be something new and a challenge.
“It’s a vital service for the village and I’m looking forward to continuing their good work.”
