TWO doctors have been appointed to Dodworth Practice to meet demand amid claims patients were having to queue for 45 minutes just to try and book an appointment.

Eight new members of staff have been appointed to the practice at Apollo Court Medical Centre on High Street over the last few weeks.

Lee Abbott, 42, of Station Road, Dodworth, contacted the Chronicle this week to say patients had been queuing for 45 minutes to see a receptionist and sometimes couldn’t get an appointment for weeks.

While he lost patience and left the surgery, his partner and children are still patients there.

He said: “All the staff are leaving or are off sick.”
