A SPEED survey will be carried out at on a hotspot road in Cudworth, according to Barnsley Council.
It comes after a 70-strong petition - signed by local residents on Weetshaw Lane and Shaw Lane - was submitted to the council last month, calling for more to be done to prevent vehicles from speeding on the stretch which links Cudworth to Shafton.
The Chronicle can reveal that South Yorkshire Police, the South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership and local councillors will look into the results before discussing the survey’s findings at the next community engagement meeting (CEM) at Cudworth Fire Station on October 12.
