A tenacious photographer managed to raise £250 for Children in Need after getting Fiona Bruce to sign one of his photos.

Shaun Colborn, 56, of Glendean Photography, King's Road, Wombwell, collared the BBC presenter at Wentworth Woodhouse when the Antiques Roadshow was being filmed last month.

There he asked her to sign a panoramic photograph he had printed of the stately home which was later framed for nothing by Impact Frames of Barnsley and purchased by Clifford Newbold, the owner of the house, for £250 in aid of Children in Need.

Shaun said: "When I took the photo I thought 'I wonder if I can get Fiona Bruce to sign it?' and on the day of filming I almost bumped into her, literally, which was so bizarre."
