BARNSLEY actress Katherine Kelly will appear in a Dr Who spin-off called Class.
Katherine, formerly of Old Town, will take on the role of a teacher and a powerful new presence at Coal Hill School - which was the setting for the first episode of Doctor Who in 1963.
The new eight-part series for BBC Three is set in contemporary London, where ‘incredible dangers are breaking through the walls of time and space, and with darkness coming, London is unprotected’.
The show is described as having ‘all the action, heart and adrenaline of the best young adult fiction’ such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Hunger Games.
