CAWTHORNE residents are to open their garden gates to the public next month as part of an event to raise funds for the village church.
The Cawthorne Open Gardens event was last held in 2013 and attracted 1,500 visitors, a three-fold increase on the first event which was held in 1997.
The event runs over two days on June 27 and 28, with organ recitals in All Saints Church between 11am and 4pm each day.
A spokesman for the event said: "Cawthorne is an award winning village with many outstanding visitor attractions which are well worth a special look, visitors will get pleasure and perhaps gardening inspiration when they talk to the knowledgeable gardeners and perhaps pick up ideas to use in their own gardens."
