A young girl has been growing her hair for four years so she can have it cut off for charity.
Shauna Lee Morris, nine, of Bly Road, Darfield, decided she wanted to donate her hair to children undergoing treatment for cancer when she saw a feature on another little girl doing the same on breakfast television.
Four years later her hair goes all the way down her back and the family has booked an appointment at Lisa's Creations on Nanny Marr Road to have 14 inches cut off on Friday.
Shauna goes to the same school as Darcy Burke, a five-year-old diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour last month, and has also raised £150 in sponsorship money for Darcy's Days - a campaign to make Darcy's remaining 12-15 months the best of her life.
