A sharp shooter from Silkstone Common has returned home from international duty after striking silver in the States.
Linda Grayson was selected to represent England in the English Sporting discipline of the clay pigeon shooting world championships, held in San Antonio, Texas.
The England Ladies' side, made up of Linda, Rachel Willcock, from Leicestershire, and Rosie Brumby, of Caistor, Lincolnshire, finished runners-up, with the collective England team also coming second, behind hosts the USA.
Linda, who has been shooting competitively for four years, said: "I have now shot for the England team three times within the last 12 months; the world championships in England, the home international and now Texas.
"I'd definitely go again, I've never been abroad with a shotgun and it's really well organised in America.
"I feel very honoured and privileged to be part of the England team and hopefully this will continue - not bad for a local farmer's daughter, living in Silkstone Common."
Linda, 47, of Champany Hill Farm, shot more than 2,000 cartridges during her week in San Antonio.
She now hopes to continue her overseas shooting by making the world championships in Canada in August.
