THERE’S no stopping a lollipop lady in her efforts to raise cash for charity.

Wendy Goodall, 59, has become a popular face to parents and children at Joseph Locke Primary School.

Last year Wendy took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks and raised £640 for the Barnsley Hospital Charity but having not been content with that, Wendy then walked over Lego at a charity event at Barnsley Market last week.

She’s now signed up for a charity skydive on April 30 for the charity’s new breast care appeal.

Jane Mills, charity development manager, said: “Wendy has truly gone above and beyond, not just in ensuring the safety of the children every day but now also by embarking on an extraordinary journey - walking and skydiving - to raise funds helping our patients.

“Her selfless efforts are an inspiration to both the children and the entire community, showing us all that kindness and courage know no bounds.

“We can’t thank her enough for her dedication and remarkable spirit.”
