A BARNSLEY pageant girl is celebrating this week after returning home with a number of awards.
Swayze Best, 21, from Honeywell, only started her pageant journey last year but she already has a number of wins under her belt.
She competed in the Miss Petite Global UK competition in Birmingham and the winner had the chance to jet off to Malaysia to take part in an international competition.
Unfortunately Swayze didn’t pick up the top crown but that hasn’t dampened her spirits.
She told the Chronicle: “The pageant went really well.
“I didn’t get the title sadly but I did place in the top three.
“I also won the ‘Best in Evening Wear’ which is the highest-pointed category.
“I had a blast and made some new friends and memories to last a lifetime.
“I came home with one crown, one tiara, one glass award and two sashes.”
