Andy Dallas has been sent back to Barnsley from his loan at League Two Barrow.
The 25-year-old striker scored three league goals for the Cumbrians in 18 appearances, only six of which were starts, while he also struck twice in cup games.
It was due to be a season-long loan but Barrow have taken their option to cut it short in January.
Dallas, who scored on his debut last season after signing a three-year deal with the Reds in the summer of 2023, has made just five appearances and also been loaned to Kilmarnock and Oldham.
