BARNSLEY actor Shaun Dooley will be leaping into the mythical world of Tolkien with his latest outing that is set to release next week.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is the latest film in J.R.R Tolkien’s legendary saga, starring Brian Cox as the hot-headed King Helm Hammerhand and Barnsley’s own Shaun Dooley as Freca, a lord with high aspirations.
Dooley’s character plays a pivotal role in the war the film revolves around, and his son Wulf - voiced by like Luke Pasqualino - will lead the battle against King Hammerhand.
The film will also feature the voice of Christopher Lee, who died in 2015, by utilising unused recordings from his appearances in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films.
Set to release in cinemas a week today, the animated film takes place 183 years before the Oscar-winning film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson.
