GRAYSON White has had long hair for as far back as his dad Jason can remember.

However, the nine-year-old Shawlands Primary pupil is now sporting a new short style after having it all cut off to raise money for charity.

Grayson has donated his hair and over £750 to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

Jason said: “Grayson has only had one haircut in his life before this he’s always liked his hair long but about a year ago he started to talk about getting it cut and we heard about the Little Princess Trust around then too.

“Grayson’s uncle passed away in February from cancer and I think the idea to raise the money grew from there.

“We launched the fundraising page and were surprised by how quickly the fund grew.”

So, last month Grayson was in the barber’s chair.

“He really likes his new haircut and we’re really grateful to Bull House Barbers, on Shambles Street in the town centre, who were great and cut his hair free of charge after hearing what he was doing.

“We’re all proud of him but he didn’t want any fuss and told his friends at school that he was getting his haircut to tie in with his Halloween costume this year.

“They were all really surprised when I let the cat out of the bag and told one of his classmates about the fundraising.”

Grayson’s fundraising total stands at £795 and donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/graysons-hair-cut?utm—medium=fundraising&utm—content=page%2Fgraysons-hair-cut&utm—source=email&utm—campaign=pfp-email
