HUNDREDS flocked to the Penistone Showground at the weekend for the annual agricultural show.

The show visits every year with locals given the chance to take a look at all things agriculture.

This year’s show featured pigs, cattle and horses - and organisers said the event was a success.

A spokesperson for the show said: “We plan all year long and it disappears just like that.

“We’re looking forward to 2025 already.”

Next year’s date has already been set, with the event kicking off on Saturday, September 13.

Marie Tidball, MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge, added: “I had a wonderful time at the 151st Penistone Agricultural Show.

“It has been a constant of our community and is such a great day out for everyone.

“Its speaks to the heritage and traditions that our communities are so rightly proud of and I’ve loved coming to it since I was a child.

“A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers who put together such an impressive event - a particular shout out to Dan Lowe, Rebecca Barnett, Nathan Woodhams and the rest of the committee.”
