LITTLE Miss Teen Barnsley Darcie Mylchreest is hoping to bring the national crown back to her hometown next month.
The 12-year-old from Brampton had never competed in a beauty pageant before but had been intrigued about the competition after seeing others online doing the same thing.
Her mum, Farron, told the Chronicle she’s now eager to compete in Blackpool on October 12 having already been named as Little Miss Teen Barnsley in a previous round.
She said: “This is her first time doing something like this.
“She saw other people doing this on the internet and on TV and decided she wanted to have a go.
“She managed to get to the semi-finals and then the final after doing a question application and then send some photos in.
“It’s a big thing and the whole family are really proud of her.
“The final is held in Blackpool next month.
“She is quite nervous but she’s definitely really excited.”
