Hello Reds,

Returning to Oakwell has been an emotional experience for me.

I’d like to thank every supporter who sang my name last week when I entered the field.

It was of course not the result we all wanted, but I was genuinely touched by the warm reception.

Hearing my name mentioned once again in the stands was something special, a moment I will carry with me for a long time.

It was special for my family, including my two little girls, who never saw me play here, so that was nice.

My family spoke to me after the game about the atmosphere and how incredible the reception I received was, so thank you for that once again Reds.

It was a large reason why I came back to Oakwell, to show my gratitude for the fans and return to a club with whom I have a great affinity.

Coming back to Barnsley felt right, and I knew it was time to give back to the community and club that have always had my back.

Being in the dugout again was a great feeling, one that reminded me of how much this club means to me.

It’s been a while since I last played at Oakwell, and being able to gain some valuable minutes on the pitch was important not just for my fitness, but also for my connection to the team.

I know that there’s more to come from me as a coach, and I’m looking forward to contributing even more in the future.

This is just the beginning, and I’m committed to helping everyone in the building, from the players to the staff, to make a positive impact wherever I can.

Working with the coaching staff has been an absolute pleasure.

They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, and I’m learning loads from each one of them.

It’s been a privilege to be part of such a dedicated team, and I’ve been particularly impressed by the high work ethic and morale within the squad.

There’s a real sense of unity and determination here, and I believe that this will be a driving force as we push the club forward.

Ultimately, my focus is on helping Barnsley move forward.

Whether it’s making contributions on the pitch, offering guidance to the younger players, or simply being a positive presence in the dressing room, I’m dedicated to doing everything I can to support this team and this club.

The future looks bright for Barnsley, and I’m proud to be a part of what lies ahead.

Together, we can achieve great things, and I’m excited to see what the rest of the season holds.

You Reds.

Conor.
