BARNSLEY Hospital staff who have gone above and beyond their roles in the last year were awarded for their efforts.
The Heart Awards - which celebrate employees’ special achievements - received over 200 nominations in 14 categories.
Held at the Holiday Inn, Dodworth, the event was hosted by radio DJ Stephanie Hirst.
Emma Parkes, director of communications at the hospital, said: “The evening was about us coming together to celebrate and share the successes of all the individuals and teams who are involved in taking care of our patients, staff and visitors on a daily basis.
“The volume of nominations is testament to all the great work our staff and volunteers do every day right across the hospital.”
