PRIMARY school pupils have been raising money to fund an end-of-year trip to Whitby.
The year sixes at Gawber Primary School split into three groups where they created their own business names, logos and plans to raise money for the trip.
Over five weeks they worked hard in the school’s enterprise club, during playtimes and in their own time to make sure they had products ready to sell.
On March 19, parents and families were invited to buy the products children had made and £308.52 was raised for the trip - well above the original £50 goal.
Teaching assistant Ellie Richardson said: “We are very proud of how the children presented themselves and the confidence they had grown over the weeks and received many positive comments from parents.
“With the hopes of raising around £50 the children exceeded this and raised an amazing £308 profit due to all their hard work.”
