A YOUNG model has made her ‘dream come true’ as she’s been crowned Miss British Isles in her first ever pageant competition.
Isabella Fleur, from Darfield, has always wanted to be a model but wasn’t sure how she’d make that a reality.
So when she saw the chance to enter the Miss British Isles competition, she jumped at the chance.
“I wasn’t going to enter originally because I couldn’t find a sponsor,” she told the Chronicle.
“Then I heard about Estabulo in the town centre who’d sponsored the boxer Callum Simpson and thought I’d ask them if they’d be able to help.
“They sponsored me so I went for it - I thought at the time I may as well because I had nothing to lose.”
At the competition last weekend she was pitted against other women from across Britain in catwalk and modelling competitions, where judges assessed them on how they presented themselves throughout the day and on camera.
To the shock of the 18-year-old - who’d never competed at a pageant before - she was crowned champion.
“It hasn’t sunk in yet,” she added.
“It’s unbelievable, I’m absolutely gobsmacked - for winning they’re taking me to Marbella for a photoshoot.”
Yet this young entrepreneur is not willing to rest on her laurels after her victory, as she’s also in the process of starting her own clothing line, building her social media following and creating a long-lasting modelling career.
She said: “I’m running the For The Plot clothing line - I was getting calls all weekend about it while at the competition.
“There’s so much going on all at once.”
