Herbie Kane scored an injury-time penalty as Barnsley drew 1-1 at relegation-battling Shrewsbury Town.
The hosts netted early then both sides missed chances before the late spot-kick.
The Reds stay fourth, six points off the top two and four clear in top six.
Reds head coach Neill Collins watched the game from the stands after receiving a third yellow card of the season on Saturday.
There were two changes from the last-gasp win over Leyton Orient. Jon Russell came in for the suspended Luca Connell while Corey O’Keeffe replaced the benched Barry Cotter at right wing-back. Donovan Pines dropped out of the squad to play for the under 21s, so Jamie McCart was back on the bench after injury alongside teenage midfielder Vimal Yoganathan.
The hosts took the lead in the seventh minute when Daniel Udoh ran down the left of the box and whipped in a low cross which was bundled in by Tom Bloxham.
It was almost 2-0 when a right-wing corner was headed just wide by Morgan Feeney.
After a slow start, Barnsley started to get back in the game. Their first attempt was a curling effort by John McAtee which was well-saved after he cut in from the left wing following an Adam Phillips pass.
Cadden then blazed over from 20 yards after a defensive error let in Devante Cole on the right and he crossed low.
Phillips’ low cross after good work by Russell was pushed out by goalkeeper Marko Marosi onto McAtee and the goalkeeper caught it again.
Cole had the ball in the back of the net on the stroke of half-time but it was ruled out for offside, after Cadden played a right-wing cross back into the box.
In the second half, McAtee hit the side netting from the right of the box after latching onto a good O’Keeffe pass.
Shrewsbury’s Aaron Pierre scuffed a shot wide in the box after a scramble following a corner, then Udoh shot straight at Roberts from 25 yards.
Phillips’ cross from the right was dropped by the goalkeeper, leading to scramble almost on the line but Cole could not force the ball home.
Pierre headed wide at the back post from a left-wing free-kick.
Marosi then made an outstanding save after a Cadden 20-yard shot was deflected upwards.
At the other end, Roberts pushed a Tom Bayliss shot from the left of the box wide of his near post.
Substitute Conor Grant almost netted with his first touch but shot over 15 yards out after a corner was half-cleared.
Substitute Sam Cosgrove touched a Josh Earl cross just wide at the near post.
But the leveller arrived in injury-time when, after de Gevigney was tripped in a scramble following a long throw by substitute Cotter, Kane smashed the penalty into the top right corner.
