Seb Carter gave them an early lead from Connor Massey’s assist.
James Shaw converted from a short corner to double their advantage.
Shaw then turned provider with Tim Lloyd finishing off a move clinically.
Carter got his second before half-time from Paul Winstanley’s pass.
Dave Wright then got in on the act to make it five.
Carter completed his hat-trick before Kieran Ryan lashed in from close-range.
Bryce Tuckett made it eight with an instinctive rebound finish before a late consolation.
Barnsley return to action on December 2 away at Brigg.
