A CAMPAIGN has been launched to save Holgate school from demolition.
Proposals to flatten the former boys' grammar school and make way for playing fields serving the new 2,000-pupil advanced learning centre have been submitted.
The first residents learned about the plans was at an area forum meeting on Monday. Former Holgate pupil Rob Warburton was at that meeting and pans to meet with councillors and other residents to launch a campaign to save the school.
