POLICE officers in Barnsley are appealing for information following a nightclub assault.
A CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to as part of their investigation into the assault in CoCo nightclub on Peel Street on October 6 at 2.30am last year.
It is reported that the victim, a 26-year-old man, was drinking when he was assaulted by an unknown man.
The attacker spoke to his victim, before punching him in the mouth, leaving him with a broken jaw.
DC Steve Mason, investigating, said: “This was an unprovoked attack in a busy nightclub, which left the victim with severe injuries. Our team have carried out extensive enquiries so far, including reviewing CCTV footage. We are now in position to release this image of a man we think may hold vital information about what happened that night.”
