RELIEF has been found to tackle the problem of public urination - anti-pee paint.

Ian Newton, secretary of the Doncaster Road, Sheffield Road and Park Road crime and safety group, said public peeing is an issue in the area.

Ian, who is pastor at the Church of Nazarene off Sheffield Road, said the special creates a protective barrier that repels liquid, meaning that urine will ‘bounce back’ and soak the offender.

He is hoping it will make people think twice before relieving themselves in public. It will also go some way to stopping urine soaking into walls, reducing stains and bad smells.
