A PREGNANT woman and her boyfriend who are sleeping rough in a graveyard say the only accommodation they have been offered is in different towns.
Homeless Lia Rodgers, 19, and boyfriend Dale Payne, 29, pitched up their tent alongside the graves in St Mary’s Church in Barnsley on Monday because they don’t want to be sent to separate hostels - one in Sheffield and the other in Huddersfield.
Lia said: "We don’t want to be apart. Dale has mental health issues, he can’t read and write, and I help him. I’m not going to just abandon him, I’m his carer and he is the baby’s dad.”
