BARNSLEY Market will open on Mondays starting next month.
The open market on the precinct is going from strength to strength, according to Barnsley Council's 'Better Barnsley' newsletter.
The new market comes after traders reported customers were constantly asking why there is no open market on a Monday, as this is seen as the traditional day to pick up items following a busy weekend.
The first Monday market will be held on April 13.
