RESIDENTS whose homes border a colossal site which could be transformed into a solar farm have until Thursday to comment on the plans.
The 173-acre site - which separates Grimethorpe and Cudworth - was identified by clean energy solutions company Enviromena and comprises three land parcels the size of more than 130 football pitches.
An initial cut-off date for comments to be submitted was extended from February 18 to March 6 following pressure from campaigners.
A total of 617 neighbours have been consulted with, according to Enviromena.
Lee Adams, chief commercial officer, said: “We remain open to continued dialogue with residents and we’re committed to delivering renewable energy in a way that respects both the environment and the community.”
