Josiah Dyer scored twice but then was sent off before half-time as Barnsley under 21s drew 2-2 at home to Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.
Dyer tapped in after Theo Chapman’s shot was saved, then headed home following a good move. But he was shown a straight red card seconds before the break for elbowing a visiting defender.
Wigan scored on 75 and 82 minutes to extend the young Reds’ winless run to eight games.
