An investigation is underway to establish what caused a blaze at a former fire station.
Only the steel shell of the building on Knollbeck Lane, Brampton, remains after the fire on Monday afternoon.
Dozens of firefighters were needed to tackle the blaze and residents were told to stay indoors to escape the fumes. Neighbouring properties were doused to prevent them catching on fire.
A service spokesman this morning confirmed an investigation will be carried out. He said crews were on the scene until 12am on Tuesday making sure the blaze was extinguished.
"The only thing that is left is a steel frame." It is not deemed a safety risk.
