Wombwell Town are the highest-placed Barnsley team in NCEL Division One after a 3-0 home win over Dearne and District.
Kane Reece and Jordan Kershaw put Town 2-0 up after ten minutes then Joshua Nodder added a third midway through the second half.
They completed the double against Dearne.
Town went ahead of Dearne on goal difference, with two games in hand.
They have 45 points from 21 games, the halfway point of the campaign.
They are 14 points off leaders Horbury Town who are in the only automatic promotion place, but Wombwell have three games in hand after Horbury lost at Shelley.
Dearne now go straight into another derby against a Barnsley side when they host Worsbrough Bridge on Friday night.
Bridge drew 1-1 at home to Club Thorne on Saturday, with Alex Kemp levelling after the hosts took the lead in the second half.
Their last 12 games have brought nine wins and three draws.
Lee Morris’ side are eighth in the table with 34 points from 21 games, which is the halfway point.
They are eight points off the top five play-off places with a game in hand.
Athersley Rec’s game at home to Armthorpe Welfare on Friday was called off ‘due to health and safety reasons’.
They are 11th in the table with 33 points from 23 games.
Penistone Church drew 0-0 at second-bottom Winterton Rangers in the Premier Division.
They are now fifth with 36 points from 23 games, a point clear in the play-off places.
Church now visit Hallam on Saturday who are a place and a point below them.
