STAFF at a Barugh Green nursery are celebrating after they received their second ‘outstanding’ Ofsted report in a row.
Cawthorne Road Day Nursery received its first top score in 2018 and, after being assessed by Ofsted in January, staff were told the outstanding news once more this week.
There are currently 32 children on the roll, with ten members of staff on hand to support the young children.
Helen Panton, the site’s manager, told the Chronicle: “We’re very happy.
“With the goalposts changing all the time we were really hoping that we’ be able to be graded outstanding.
“It’s a big achievement to get the score for the second time in a row.
“It’s a testament to all the hard work staff put in.”
The report added: “Children thrive and blossom in the nurturing ‘family’ environment of the nursery.
“They show that they feel completely secure and cared for as they confidently explore and investigate exciting resources inside and outdoors.
“For example, children happily search for bugs in the ‘secret garden’.
“Experienced staff gather extensive information about each child from the start and know children extremely well.
“They use this detailed knowledge of each unique child to provide an ambitious and structured curriculum.”
